Compuserve: [71410,2312]
IMPORTANT: Be sure to read VALIDATION instructions below!
Thank you for trying TypeTimer, the memory resident program that turns
your text based word processor or editor into a typing tester.
TypeTimer is not free, but is distributed as shareware. This allows you
the ultimate in 'try-before-you-buy' software, since you are not
required to pay for the software unless you are satisfied with it and
intend to continue using it. This is the way we like to buy software
and believe it is the way you do, too.
If you find TypeTimer useful, a usage registration of $10.00 would be
appreciated. If you wish to receive a fully supported version of
TypeTimer, send $23.00 to the above address (California residents add
8.25% sales tax). Just print out the accompanying invoice (in
invoice.doc), fill it in and send with your remittance. Registered
users will receive a fresh disk containing the latest version, and will
be appraised of new versions and bug fixes. Registered users will also
be able to receive support, either via Compuserve or regular telephone.
Registered users may also participate in defining features for a new,
fully featured typing tester (called TypeTester) currently under
development by KIS Systems. TypeTester will be standalone and provide
greater accuracy checks than TypeTimer can provide.
VALIDATION:
The opening banner (between solid lines) and beep is a reminder screen
for you to register TypeTimer. Proper registration procedures will
allow you to remove the banner and beep. Before you send in your
registration, run TypeTimer as follows:
typetimer +
TypeTimer will respond with a validation codeword like so:
Validation:
(a validation codeword)
On a printout of the enclosed invoice (or on your check) write down this
codeword, exactly as it appears. You will receive instructions on
how to use this codeword to validate your executable and remove the
banner. Be sure to save the distribution executable package, as you'll
need this to run the validation program.
Thank you and happy typing!
