  9. Thank you for trying TypeTimer, the memory resident program that turns
  10. your text based word processor or editor into a typing tester.
  11.  
  12. TypeTimer is not free, but is distributed as shareware.  This allows you
  13. the ultimate in 'try-before-you-buy' software, since you are not
  14. required to pay for the software unless you are satisfied with it and
  15. intend to continue using it.  This is the way we like to buy software
  16. and believe it is the way you do, too.

  18. If you find TypeTimer useful, a usage registration of $10.00 would be
  19. appreciated.  If you wish to receive a fully supported version of
  20. TypeTimer, send $23.00 to the above address (California residents add
  21. 8.25% sales tax).  Just print out the accompanying invoice (in
  22. invoice.doc), fill it in and send with your remittance.  Registered
  23. users will receive a fresh disk containing the latest version, and will
  24. be appraised of new versions and bug fixes. Registered users will also
  25. be able to receive support, either via Compuserve or regular telephone.

  27. Registered users may also participate in defining features for a new,
  28. fully featured typing tester (called TypeTester) currently under
  29. development by KIS Systems.  TypeTester will be standalone and provide
  30. greater accuracy checks than TypeTimer can provide.

  32. VALIDATION:

  34. The opening banner (between solid lines) and beep is a reminder screen
  35. for you to register TypeTimer.  Proper registration procedures will
  36. allow you to remove the banner and beep.  Before you send in your
  37. registration, run TypeTimer as follows:

  41. TypeTimer will respond with a validation codeword like so:

  44.         (a validation codeword)

  46. On a printout of the enclosed invoice (or on your check) write down this
  47. codeword, exactly as it appears.  You will receive instructions on
  48. how to use this codeword to validate your executable and remove the
  49. banner.  Be sure to save the distribution executable package, as you'll
  50. need this to run the validation program.
